About the Haggis Guardian Institute of Study

At the Haggis Guardian Institute of Study (HGIS), we are passionate custodians of Scotland’s wildlife treasure, the haggis. Since our establishment in 2015, we have dedicated ourselves to the preservation, study and celebration of this unique creature, Sus caledonia.

Nestled in the picturesque Balnagowan Woods just outside Nairn, our institute serves as a beacon of knowledge and appreciation for haggis enthusiasts, scholars, and the public. Through rigorous research, community engagement, and cultural enrichment, we invite you to explore the fascinating world of the haggis with us.
